My research focuses on foundational questions at the intersection of quantum and gravitational physics. In particular, I am interested in clearing epistemological questions raised by exsisting proposals to search for experimental signatures of the quantum nature of gravity, such as gravity induced entanglement, as well as develop new experimental proposal towards this. Working on this, I have become interested in the relation of different notions of subsystems and locality found across quantum information theory and quantum field theory. In addition, I am researching the consequences of implementing full background independence in theories of discrete (quantum) geometry.
